Volunteer Opportunities
Rec ‘N’ Roll Club
At NEOS, our residents enjoy music, dancing, socialization, and refreshments or take in a movie at our multipurpose Recreation Center. Help with decorating, serving refreshments or cleaning up. Mingle, meet our residents and show them that volunteers can Rec ‘N’ Roll too! The Recreation Coordinator and assisting staff oversee all activities.
Art Space Studio
Add your artistic flair to the many projects created in our campus Art Studio. Assist residents with painting and crafts. Projects change as appropriate for the season. Classes led by the Art Program Coordinator.
Retirement Center Volunteers volunteer for day programs and help our seniors enjoy crafts, baking, exercising, music, trips and table games.
Chapel Volunteers assist our residents to attend Sunday morning services and Tuesday evening Sing-A-Longs at our campus Chapel.
Group Volunteering is an excellent opportunity for churches, companies or families to work together to brighten someone’s life! Groups can adopt a home to host a special activity or complete a campus improvement/beautification project.
One-to-One Volunteers are volunteers who are partnered with a specific individual once they have developed an actual friendship. They may spend time together at the facility or go out for activities of their choice around the community!
Client Service Volunteers complete specific coursework requirements within one of the Professional service areas such as Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Psychology or Social work. They are supervised by a designee from the assigned department and spend time observing and gaining actual hands on experience. Formal internships are also available.
A special activity is planned monthly that generally corresponds with holiday or seasonal themes. Major annual events include Splash for Cash (the third Saturday in July) and the Holiday Gala (the first Friday in December).
Volunteers are needed for all these events.
