Who: You can donate, volunteer, swim or choose to sponsor a friend who is swimming.

What: Swimmers gather donations and then swim lap after lap to raise as much money as possible. (Or if you are not a lap swimmer, just come and swim with us!)

When: Saturday, July 17, 2010, 8 - 10 am

Where: We swim at four Austin pools: Dick Nichols; Murchison; Balcones; Canyon Vista. (Not in Austin? You can be a 'long-distance' swimmer at your local pool! )

Why: You will be helping us acquire equipment which will improve the quality of life for the people who reside at the Austin State Supported Living Center. We have an opportunity to buy a Probe Microphone System which enables an audiologist to correctly adjust hearing aids. Regardless of age, physical condition or intellectual abilities, hearing properly is an essential part of life. It enables us to talk to our friends and tell people when we need something. This piece of equipment is essential as our population ages.
